Fun to see all the parts to put together an amusement park and use the alphabet while building it。

Erin

Points that they use the correct names of construction equipment。 I just expected more construction words, and not as many basic (nail, zoom, la-boom, etc。)

Cute book! My kids aren't obsessed with construction vehicles but they still like this and it's a fun way to work on the alphabet。 It's a nice bonus that the result of the construction is an adjustment park! This book is sort of between your standard alphabet book and a story book。 Each letter is the focus of an object on the page but the words are directly incorporated into the story rather than an “A is for Apple” approach。 The story follows the construction of an amusement park。 One of my favorite things was watching the progress and the passage of time in the illustrations, which clearly change through the seasons。 It gives a nice sense of the long time you’d have to wait to see an amusement par This book is sort of between your standard alphabet book and a story book。 Each letter is the focus of an object on the page but the words are directly incorporated into the story rather than an “A is for Apple” approach。 The story follows the construction of an amusement park。 One of my favorite things was watching the progress and the passage of time in the illustrations, which clearly change through the seasons。 It gives a nice sense of the long time you’d have to wait to see an amusement park ride built。 It’s a favorite of my son and has been for years。 。。。more

I like that this alphabet book is not just a collection of things, but actually does have a gradual story that it builds to。

A rhyming book for all the little construction, big truck loving kids out there。 June Sobel runs through the A-B-Cs all while building the suspense。 What is it going to be? Melissa Iwai's illustrations will appeal to the child and the child like。 A rhyming book for all the little construction, big truck loving kids out there。 June Sobel runs through the A-B-Cs all while building the suspense。 What is it going to be? Thought that "K" (ka-boom), "X" (excitement), and "Z" (zoom) were cheats。Liked the story of them building an amusement park。 Thought that "K" (ka-boom), "X" (excitement), and "Z" (zoom) were cheats。Liked the story of them building an amusement park。 。。。more

A colourful rhyming board book in which the reader is introduced to the construction of an amusement park - from A to Z。 (Note: for K the illustration is inaccurate if the workers are being responsible enough to avoid accidents。)

This alternates between some pretty construction-specific words and some words that really aren't construction-related at all。 I liked that the story was about building something specific (an amusement park)。 This alternates between some pretty construction-specific words and some words that really aren't construction-related at all。 I liked that the story was about building something specific (an amusement park)。 。。。more

Love how the words flow with the story of building a roller coaster。

Dr。 Hemm gave us this book at Benji's 18 month check up and it is a winner! The simple text highlights the equipment and processes at any construction site, but the illustrations offer so much more! The illustrations show a particular construction site throughout the seasons, and over the course of the book and entire amusement park is built - what fun! My kids love this book。 Cute story using the alphabet about the construction of an amusement park。

This book showed the ABC and it turned into a book about building an amusement park。 This book also had a lot of rhyming in it。 This book would be good for pre schoolers or kindergarteners because it goes over the ABCs in the book and has good rhymes throughout the book。

Lindsay Monson

This book uses words in construction in relation to the alphabet。 It keeps kids engaged the whole time when going through each page。 Kids can learn the alphabet from this book。 Kids could also learn about the types of jobs that are found in our society。 They could research a job and explain what they do in that field。

Christaia Houser

This book is an alphabet book based in a construction site。 I would use this book in a classroom of younger grades when focusing on the alphabet。 Kids could stop and write each letter as we encounter it or it could be used as an introduction to a lesson。

Samantha

Another fun spin on a Alphabet learning book。 Each letter stands for an aspect of the construction world。 For example: I is for I-beam。 Constructing knowledge through a picture book and rhyming, would be fun for a construction theme, a rhyming unit, or alphabet learning。

Andrea

This book is about the construction process of building an amusement park。 Along with showing the process it also points out the alphabet along the way。 This book is much different than standard alphabet books。 I would use this in the classroom to point out the alphabet and sound the letters along the way。

A nice alphabet book centering around construction on an amusement park。 Dex (2 years old) really liked it and even Asher (4 years old) enjoyed it - even though alphabet books are a bit "young" for him now。Fun and interesting illustrations。 A nice alphabet book centering around construction on an amusement park。 Dex (2 years old) really liked it and even Asher (4 years old) enjoyed it - even though alphabet books are a bit "young" for him now。Fun and interesting illustrations。 。。。more
